As the next generation of video games approaches, Tiger Woods is up for the challenge. The next generation Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06 will let gamers experience what it takes to make it on the PGA TOUR. With ultra-realistic golf course environments thousands of fans lining the fairways to watch you play, gamers will experience the intensity of a championship golf tournament.

It’s one thing to sink a putt playing with your buddies, but can you sink a putt in front of a massive gallery standing greenside at the 18th hole at Pebble Beach? With greatness comes pressure, as players are put to the test of making perfect tee shots and sinking tournament-winning putts in crunch time. You will create your own character in GameFace, and then build that character’s skills from a lowly amateur to a PGA TOUR golfer. And when you make it to the PGA TOUR, massive crowds will be right on top of you at the tee box, lining the fairways and expecting greatness on every shot. It’s that pressure and the pressure of competing against some of golf’s top players that will test you in the next generation.

Just as it is on the PGA TOUR®, the key to a good shot is execution and precision. In Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06 both analog sticks are used to give more control than ever over each shot. The left controller stick will continue to control the backswing and downswing, while the right analog stick, or “Shape stick”, controls ball trajectory and spin. Players are now challenged to focus on the impact point on the ball, while thinking more strategically before executing a shot.

Next Generation Graphics and Physics: The next generation of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR delivers higher-fidelity physics models that allow the ball when struck to interact more realistically with the clubface and terrain, resulting in more realistic ball flight and bounces. Advanced lighting techniques provide a much better sense of terrain undulation and the contours make giving players the ability to realistically interpret approach shots or a crucial putt on a rolling green.

New Dual Analog Swing: New advanced swing technique uses both controller sticks to “shape” shots. The left controller stick executes the swing and the right controller stick shapes the shot, controlling ball trajectory and spin.

My Career: It’s time to shed your Amateur status and earn your TOUR card! Compete in Skill Events to get ready for the PGA TOUR®. Qualify for Q-School and the TOUR, and then get ready to battle the best on the PGA TOUR® over an extended career.

Courses: Six licensed courses that have been sites of championship events including TPC at Sawgrass, Carnoustie Golf Links, Pinehurst No. 2, Turnberry, Ailsa Course, Riviera Country Club and Pebble Beach Golf Links.

PGA TOUR Players: Compete as or against ten different PGA TOUR players including Tiger Woods, John Daly, Retief Goosen and Vijay Singh.

Online: Create your player and take him online. Match up with your friends and complete with up to 4 players through Xbox Live.
